I don’t know about you, but there is one part of the yearly schedule that I dread every time, regardless of how the team is playing: the west coast trip. Without fail there is bound to be some 10 p.m. game that gets into extras and goes 14 innings deep, and I doubt that Manfredball will fix that. Of course, this year the trip comes at a crucial juncture for the Yankees: they’re sitting barely above .500 with the All-Star break on the horizon.
We’ve got plenty of time before the action kicks off tonight, so let’s fill part of that in with some content. Dan brings us the week nine edition of the minor league review, featuring four clubs still holding onto first place in every level of MiLB. Peter will preview the Mariners series before Dan returns to profile the Twins as a potential trade partner, and Andrew and Kunj have the latest episode of the podcast ready for you as well.
