Since baseball shut down in March of last year, we have kept you posted on what the Yankees have been up to on social media. Although baseball is getting back to normal, it’s still fun to check in our favorite players and Yankee figures, so we will continue to do so throughout 2021. Here’s your weekly update on what your favorite Yankees have been doing on social media!

The Yankees celebrate a series victory

The Yankees had a big week this past week. Prior to the crushing weekend at Fenway, they’d won series against the Boston Red Sox and the Philadelphia Phillies, winning four of their six games. New York has been struck by injuries and COVID, so they’ve had a lot of replacement players running out there, but they’ve held their own, especially Greg Allen. Gleyber Torres has also been heating up at the right time. They both posted on social media after their big weeks.

Richard Fitts signs Yankees contract

Fitts was just drafted by the Yankees in the 2021 MLB Draft. He officially put the pen to paper and put on the pinstripes this past week. In 41 innings at Auburn this season, Fitts had a 5.88 ERA and 41 strikeouts.

Estevan Florial celebrates first MLB home run

As a part of the “next man up,” Florial has held his own. He’s had good at-bats, has been stealing bases and even hit a home run at the plate! Here’s his first MLB homer and his post on Twitter about it.

The newest Yankee

Luis Severino and his wife had their second child and dressed him up in a Yankees uniform right away! Congratulations to Luis and Rosmaly Severino!
