Can the Yanks get out of New York with a quick little sweep?

The Yankees played an all-around solid game of baseball yesterday, setting themselves up to sweep this two-game set against the Phillies. It’ll be a tough task, since they’re now at the point where they’re calling up Asher Wojciechowski for a spot start, but if they can take a win out of this scenario they would be flying out of New York with much better energy than otherwise. They may need that too — they’re flying out to Boston with no travel day, and their recent victories against their rivals will have to be immediately upheld to posit any chance of staying in the division race.

Before the action kicks off, check out what we’ve got prepared for you today. Cooper starts us out with an in-depth look into what’s wrong mechanically with Giancarlo Stanton, and why it’s led to his hot streak fizzling out. Peter provides the latest trade target, this time centered on José Berríos, and John will check out how the competition in the AL East is looking to move at the trade deadline.

Today’s Matchup:

New York Yankees vs. Philadelphia Phillies

Time: 7:05 p.m. EST

TV: YES Network, NBCSP, MLB Network (out of network)

Radio: WFAN 660/101.9 FM, WADO 1280

Venue: Yankee Stadium

Fun Questions:

1. Do you expect the deadline deals to start picking up, or will they all come in a rush towards the end?

2. If Asher Wojciechowski only gives the Yanks three innings but doesn’t allow a run, would you take that?
