As an added Triple-A note, MLB announced that the season would be extended through October 3rd. It had originally been scheduled to end September 19th, but instead, each team will play two more five-game sets. There will be no playoffs in Triple-A (only named regular season champions), though there will be a best-of-five championship series between the top two teams in Double-A, High-A, and Low-A beginning on September 21st.
