There may not be any meaningful baseball today, but we’ve still got quite a busy Tuesday lined up. Tonight of course features the 2021 All-Star Game, and ahead of the star-studded matchup, we have even more MLB Draft coverage coming down the pipe. This is the first time baseball’s marquee midseason showcase has coincided with their first-year player draft, and it’s made for quite the packed week.
Shohei Ohtani will start on the mound for the American League, while Max Scherzer will toe the rubber for the National League. Ohtani the pitcher and Ohtani the hitter will be treated as two separate players rules-wise, meaning Ohtani will be able to take plate appearances even after a new pitcher replaces him. Gerrit Cole will not appear in the game, unsurprising after his epic 129-pitch effort on Saturday night.
Today’s Matchup
AL All-Stars at NL All-Stars

Fun Questions:
1. Do you find the actual All-Star Game or the Home Run Derby more entertaining?
2. Who’s a Yankee who didn’t make the All-Star Game, but will put up a strong enough second half that his full-season numbers will be All-Star caliber?
