Since baseball shut down in March of last year, we have kept you posted on what the Yankees have been up to on social media. Although baseball is getting back to normal, it’s still fun to check in our favorite players and Yankee figures, so we will continue to do so throughout 2021. Here’s your weekly update on what your favorite Yankees have been doing on social media!

Chapman’s message to the fans

It’s no secret that Aroldis Chapman has had a rough go on the mound as of late. In his last four outings, he has blown two saves and surrendered a total of nine earned runs over 2.1 innings. After his meltdown against the New York Mets, the closer took to social media to deliver a message to the fans — and the haters.

Nasty Nestor

Nestor Cortes Jr. has been amazing on the bump for New York since joining the squad in late May. He’s tossed 25.2 innings, facing 100 total batters and allowing just 15 hits. After his huge start in Houston where he threw 4.2 frames of shutout ball, his ERA now sits at 1.05! If he can continue to be dominant throughout the year, he would be a big boost to the rotation if he stays there, or the bullpen.

CC’s new book

CC Sabathia is obviously retired, so he has some more time on his hands now. After spending a lot of his free hours telling his story on paper, he has published his book called “Till the End.” The book gives an inside look at moments in his career, both high and low, including his battle with alcohol addiction. Another series win means another Judge recap post

The Yankees defeated the Seattle Mariners in their most recent series, taking two of the three games on the west coast. The Bombers took the first two, but dropped the finale in their attempt to sweep. If you weren’t able to watch, look at Aaron Judge’s highlight recap and you’ll be all caught up!
