The Yankees haven’t much looked like a playoff team lately, but their matchups with the Astros have brought a playoff-like feel. Last night’s game, like many contests between these two clubs, was tight, and the Yankees managed to go up in the series. They’ll have a chance to cinch the three-game set later today in a matchup of aces, between Gerrit Cole and Zack Greinke.
On the site, we’ve got coverage lined up for all the big upcoming events. Matt looks at some of the best Yankee performances in the All-Star game, and looks back at how some notable 20th and 55th picks in the MLB Draft did, with the Yankees set to use those selections this year. Peter will also profile a highly enticing trade target in Ketel Marte, and Andres profiles Kris Bryant.
