Earlier this morning, the Yankees and Angels finished off a baseball game. Dear reader, I do hope you were asleep when that contest came to a conclusion. If you were, you missed one of the most spectacular losses the Yankees have pulled off in recent memory. Yet the rules say right here that they have to go out and keep playing baseball, even if we’d all much prefer at this point if they’d just knock it off. They’ll ostensibly have an advantage in the pitching matchup today, as the Yankees will run out Jordan Montgomery against Griffin Canning, who sports a 4.95 ERA on the year.
Hopefully, we’ll get less of a rain-soaked day than yesterday, but precipitation may be on its way to the Bronx again. We’ll keep you updated on the status of today’s matinee as the day progresses. In any event, today’s game figures to be less hellish than Wednesday’s, but never say never with this club.
