After the disaster that has been the last two weeks, the Yankees got this one off to a better start with an 8-4 win over the Twins last night. However because nothing about this year’s team can be normal, four of the first five runs scored on Minnesota miscues.

Tonight, they look to follow that up with another win as they send their ace to the hill.

It’s been a bit of weird week for Gerrit Cole, especially after the way he answered a question about “sticky stuff” in MLB. Needless to say, there’s going to be plenty of eyes on him in tonight’s start. Behind him, Kyle Higashioka gets the start behind the plate in his normal role as Cole’s catcher.

For the Twins, Randy Dobnak will get the start. The Yankees famously knocked him out after two innings and four runs in Game 2 of the 2019 ALDS. Josh Donaldson, who had some things to say about the aforementioned Cole situation, is in the lineup hitting second.

Go Yankees, go baseball.
