MLB: New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

I am once again asking the Yankees to hit rock bottom once and for all. Each time this team seems to turn a corner, they find another way to sink to new depths. This time, they followed a couple of promising series with a complete no-show in Boston, letting the rival Red Sox sweep them away. They have no time to rest and reset, with a full slate of games coming this week.

On the site today, we kick off our coverage of the upcoming trade deadline with Cooper’s rundown of the Yankees’ priorities, while John argues the Yankees don’t have to be exclusively buyers or sellers at the deadline. Peter will also preview the four-game series with the Angels, and we see this week’s mailbag call.
