Today on Pinstripe Alley - 6/27/21

Let’s get away from Boston, hopefully without getting swept again.

It’s safe to say the Yankees haven’t played up to their AL East competition very well so far this season. They haven’t played the Red Sox as much as the others since their meetings were delayed until later in the year when more fans could be in attendance, but the results have been pretty poor so far. They’re staring down a second straight sweep at the hands of their archrivals and a sizeable gap in the standings once again if they don’t at least salvage this series finale.

This time we’re spared from a Sunday Night Baseball late night ending to The Rivalry with a getaway day for the Yanks. Before the Sunday matinee kicks off, be sure to check out some of our stuff: Dan looks into a draft strategy that the Yankees could revisit this year, Matt looks back at some strange ending to Yankee victories, and Joe provides the latest social media spotlight.

1. Over/under seven innings for Cole in today’s start?

2. How weird does it feel for this series to be ending on a daytime game for once?
