The Oakland Athletics haven’t lost a road series yet this season, but the Yankees could spoil that neat factoid for them with a win today. It would be their second straight series win if the Bombers manage to pull a W out, and their fifth win in six games, which would be a much-needed bit of momentum. It would also be a statement to pull out a series against one of the best teams in the league, and a major step in the right direction. Here’s hoping.

Before the game kicks off, we’ve got a bit of content for you to peruse. Matt looks for some offensive inspiration by looking back at some of the most successful offenses in Yankees’ history, while Josh keys in on Nestor Cortes Jr.’s latest appearance and how he managed to deliver such a crucial outing. Andrés breaks down how Kyle Higashioka has proven he isn’t ready for a starting role but can play just fine as a backup, and after the game Joe will give us the weekly social media spotlight.
