Since baseball shut down in March of last year, we have kept you posted on what the Yankees have been up to on social media. Although baseball is getting back to normal, it’s still fun to check in our favorite players and Yankee figures, so we will continue to do so throughout 2021. Here’s your weekly update on what your favorite Yankees have been doing on social media!
Mike Ford thanks New York
Ford had been in the Yankees system his entire career, since 2013. He made his MLB debut in 2019 and was a big part of the “next man up” movement that season. He wasn’t the most amazing player the Yankees have seen, but his lefty bat had a few big moments with the team, including a pinch-hit walk-off home run against the Athletics in September of 2019. He also had some amusing moments where Ford took the mound against Cleveland and even recorded a strikeout.
The Yankees will most likely be seeing Ford again as he was traded to the division rival Rays and he has some untapped potential that Tampa Bay might see in him. We wish you the best of luck in the future, Mike, just not too much.
Yankees celebrate Father’s Day
Today is Father’s Day, and plenty of Yankees found ways to salute the dads in their lives ... or were celebrated themselves!

Yankees media team all back at the stadium
Back in the New York groove! For the first time since 2019, Yankee Stadium is at 100 percent capacity — and that includes all media! Very exciting to see everyone back together and doing their jobs where they can do it best.
Cole takes selfie with picture of Torres
Say cheese! Of course Gerrit Cole had to stop and take a picture with a picture of his shortstop that he saw. Wouldn’t we all? You know what they say, “teammates who take selfies together, stay together.”
Judge posts recap of sweep in Buffalo
The Bombers recorded a huge sweep of the Buffalo — err — I mean Toronto Blue Jays this past week. As he normally does every so often, Aaron Judge posted a highlight video of all the great plays the Yanks had during their series in Buffalo. You’ll see his home run robbery a few times in there as well!
