It may have taken 11 innings, but the Yankees got a much-needed win yesterday, knocking off the Tampa Bay Rays in walk-off fashion. The series is evened up at one apiece now, and considering how both of these teams were playing entering this matchup, securing at least a split would be massive. Jordan Montgomery gets the honor of playing run support roulette tonight, and we’ll have a game thread and recap of that action later on.

Leading up to the first pitch, take some time to check out the articles rolling out today. Andrew and Kunj have the latest episode of the podcast for you, and Tom examines how the Yankees have effectively tied their own hands in adjusting this roster. Peter looks into whether the Yankees have strayed from their offensive mantra as Aaron Boone believes, while Cooper breaks down how the Rays’ most dangerous hitter has fallen off so far this year.
