If you haven’t been around lately, I regret to inform you that the Yankees are heading into this off-day on another losing streak. The good vibes from beating up Minnesota for two games faded as quickly as their lead in the finale of that series, and a swift two-game sweep at the hands of the Phillies have the Bombers reeling heading into yet another critical divisional series — something they desperately need to start winning.
Without a game to cover today, we’ll be relying on some good ol’ fashioned articles to get through the day. Dan starts us off with a look into who the major scouting reports are projecting the Yankees to take with the 20th overall pick in this year’s MLB Draft, and Peter follows up by devising a plan for Miguel Andújar to get as many reps as possible now that he’s turned the clock back to 2018. Jon muses on the effect of newly constructed stadiums on MLB teams’ willingness to push their payrolls higher, and I’ll open up the mailbag for another round of your questions.
Today’s Matchup
Off-day.
Fun Questions:
1. What are the chances that the Yankees’ pitching can contain Vlad Guerrero Jr. in these next three games?
2. If they lose this upcoming series with the Blue Jays, would that be rock bottom?
