The Yankees had a full day off to ruminate on the disastrous end to the Minnesota series. It was an odd off-day too, a Friday one which precedes a two-game set in Philadelphia. The interleague trip is somewhat ill-timed, as it will confine the red-hot bat of Giancarlo Stanton to the bench, save for potential pinch-hitting opportunities.
Ahead of the afternoon game, check out Tom’s rumination on the nature of Stanton’s hot and cold streaks with the Yankees, and Matt’s preview of the quick series with the Phillies. Andres will also analyze Justin Wilson’s chances of getting things together, while Dan looks into the Yankees’ greatest needs ahead of the 2021 draft.
