The Yankees wrap up their series in Minnesota before another off-day tomorrow.

In news that will come as no surprise to anyone who has watched the Yankees play the Twins in the past 20 years, they have apparently been the remedy to ailing bats’ woes. After scoring just 16 runs in their previous five games, the Yankees have plated 17 in just two against the Twins’ pitching staff. Sadly, the series ends tonight, though I wouldn’t be surprised if Miguel Andújar tries to stow away in some deep alcove of the visitors’ clubhouse, just to keep the good vibes going.

Today on the site, Dan will discuss how the Yankees have improved their draft strategy over the past couple years, and Tom will explore the secrets to fill-in starter Michael King’s success. Later on, Jon will commend Domingo Germán’s steady performance since returning to the rotation in late April, and John will raise some justified skepticism at MLB capably handling the controversy over pitchers using foreign substances.
