Another weird week in a season full of them. Injuries galore, a rainout, and a seven-inning doubleheader have highlighted this week, and the Yankees at least escaped the twin bill yesterday with a split. They’re limping a bit right now, but they should get Giancarlo Stanton back tonight, and they have an enticing three-game set with the Tigers coming up that should offer the opportunity to win a series.

On the site, Peter lays out a plan to get Luke Voit back to peak production once he returns from injury. Tom also analyzes Jameson Taillon’s curveball and how the pitch could help the right-hander unlock his potential, Matt gives us the preview for the upcoming series in Detroit, and Ryan delivers the mailbag answers for this week.

Today’s Matchup:

New York Yankees at Detroit Tigers

Time: 7:10 p.m. EST

TV: YES, Bally Sports Detroit

Radio: WFAN 660/101.9 FM, WADO 1280

Venue: Comerica Park

Fun Questions:

1. If both players were out for the same amount of time, which would be the more impactful loss, Luke Voit or Corey Kluber?

2. If MLB did away with the runner-on-second rule, would you be OK with games ending in ties?
