The Yankees won a series at the Trop! Why didn’t they sweep? Well, the Trop can only provide so much allotted joy and thus rewarded the Yankees’ earlier two wins with a stinker in the finale. The pitching was shoddy and the offense was worse. Oh well. They can pick up the pieces this evening against the Orioles, when Corey Kluber takes the mound searching for another superb start in Baltimore. Hopefully, the Yankees don’t get any further bad COVID news, either.
On the side today, Peter will preview the upcoming O’s series and Ryan will answer your mailbag questions. Later on, Erica will explore Clint Frazier’s lost power, and in honor of the Yankees’ walk-off wins last weekend, Matt will revisit some of the Yankees’ best walk-off streaks in franchise history.
