Here’s the program for Wednesday.

Yesterday was a great step towards getting the monkey off the Yankees’ backs — a victory in Tropicana Field, a graveyard of late for the team. A series win would be even better, and a sweep would be a fantastic turn of events, but lets not get too far ahead of things. New York is sending their ace out to the mound tonight to try and keep the wins coming, as good a feeling as they can have heading into a game.

That’s the game plan for tonight, but there’s plenty of hours in between then and now. Until it’s time for the first pitch, consider checking out some of the stuff we’ve prepped for you. Jon digs into the Yankees’ abysmal baserunning performance so far, while Josh analyzes Chad Green’s curveball, or lack thereof one. Andrés breaks down how Lucas Luetge has turned into a legitimate weapon in the ‘pen, Peter suggests an adjustment for Domingo Germán, and I’ll provide the latest minor league recap.

Today’s Matchup:

New York Yankees at Tampa Bay Rays

Time: 7:10 p.m. EST

TV: YES, Bally Sports Sun

Radio: WFAN 660/101.9 FM, WADO 1280

Venue: Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg

Fun Questions:

1. Would a series win be enough to turn around the narrative that the Rays have dominated the Yankees recently, or would they need to sweep?

2. Over/under 9.5 strikeouts for Cole tonight?
