At long last, the regular season has begun. Granted, we’re only through three games, but it feels good to get back to watching meaningful baseball. The Yankees didn’t get off to the greatest start in those three games, but it’s too early to pull out the hot takes on this squad just yet — of course, we won’t stop you from having them anyway.
There’s a lot to consider just off of the opening weekend. Gary Sánchez was brought up all offseason as the man most in need of a strong season, and he got off to an electric start. Clint Frazier displayed his improved plate discipline by drawing multiple walks, and we’ve gotten an inkling to how he and Brett Gardner are going to share time on the field. What was the most surprising part of the weekend to you? What was the most disappointing performance from the series? If you’ve got questions like these, or any other concern, send ‘em on over for a chance to be featured in our Yankees mailbag.
Answers will run on Friday morning. All questions received by the night of April 8th will be considered. You can leave your submissions in the comment section below or by e-mail to pinstripealleyblog [at] gmail [dot] com.
