Yesterday certainly took the shine off of it a bit, but the Yankees had a successful road trip over the past week. They took care of business against Cleveland and Baltimore, but failed to deliver the decisive blow in both series, walking away with a 5-3 record. Closing out series that the team has the upper hand in would be a great next step forward, and perhaps they can make that leap this weekend. It definitely helps when you can start a series by throwing out Gerrit Cole.
While the teams get settled in at the Stadium, we’ve got you covered with some content to browse. Matt leads off with a preview of this matchup against Detroit, while Dan previews Kyle Holder down in the minors. I’ll open up the mailbag to answer some of your questions, Cooper breaks down the Yankees’ philosophy in sending Mike Tauchman out for another reliever, and Peter looks into the different look Corey Kluber gave in his most recent outing.
