Life is so much better when the Yankees actually turn games where they’re favorites into a breeze. The last two games against the Orioles have been far better than Monday, and now, the Yankees will look to Jordan Montgomery to help them leave Baltimore with a series victory rather than a split. If they win, then they’ll be in excellent shape to finally return to .500 over the weekend against Detroit. Just keep taking care of business against the bad teams, and good things will happen.

On the site today, Andrés will look into Luis Cessa’s improvements during his strong start, Tom will consider whether it makes sense to give Miguel Andújar a shot, and John will preview 2020 top pick Austin Wells’s upcoming season. After the Yankees/Orioles game, Jake will bask in the glory that is 2021 Gerrit Cole, who might be putting together a pitching season for the ages.
