New York Yankees vs. Baltimore Orioles: Corey Kluber vs. Bruce Zimmermann

Can the Yankees take game two in Baltimore?

The weekend was a mostly good one for the Yankees as they took three of four against Cleveland, seemingly showing some signs of getting back on track. Better days may still be ahead for the Yankees, but things came crashing down last night.

In the series opener against the Orioles, the Yankees managed just two runs on four hits, taking a 4-2 loss to Baltimore. Yes, there was a very bad call that cost them a chance to at least get within one run, but it was still a very bad performance, especially at the plate.

To try and restart a turnaround, the Yankees will send Corey Kluber to the mound. The beginning of Kluber’s Yankee career hasn’t been the smoothest, however. He still has yet to last five or more innings in an outing. Catching him will be Kyle Higashioka, who Aaron Boone said has earned more playing time.

As for Baltimore, Bruce Zimmermann will take the hill tonight. He has a 4.57 ERA in his four starts so far this season, and allowed three runs in 4.2 innings last time out.

Go Yankees, go baseball.
