The Yankees are still under .500, but things have started to look up. The team took three of four in Cleveland after splitting a two-game set with the Braves, and have gotten some key performances from individuals that needed to get going. Giancarlo Stanton in particular has swung the bat with authority lately, swatting several home runs and punishing baseballs with blistering velocity.
There’s still some room to improve before the Yankees can resemble the team that was predicted to run the American League, but thankfully the season is long and barely underway. In the meantime, there’s a lot to take away from this recent stretch. What was the most surprising failure from the team during their losing streak? Whose performance can signal a full turnaround? If you’ve got questions like these, or any other concern on your mind, send ‘em in for a chance to be featured in our Yankees mailbag.
Answers will run on Friday morning. All questions received by the night of April 29th will be considered. You can leave your submissions in the comment section below or by e-mail to pinstripealleyblog [at] gmail [dot] com.
