NJ.com | Brendan Kuty: ESPN’s Buster Olney reported that over the course of the long winter, Yankees and Angels had light trade talks regarding star outfielder Aaron Judge. The report didn’t detail which other players may have been discussed in the deal, nor who the Yankees would have wanted in return, but it’s sure interesting to see that the Yanks were at least apparently open to taking calls on the big fella.
MLB Trade Rumors | TC Zencka: After his poor outing in Cleveland on Sunday, the Yankees optioned Nick Nelson to the alternate site and will reportedly replace him with Deivi García — who will start for the Yankees on Monday in Baltimore. Additionally, the Yankees activated Miguel Andújar from the injured list and optioned him to their alternate site. The 26-year-old hasn’t appeared in a regular season game since September 13, 2020 and after dealing with carpal tunnel syndrome in his wrist in spring training, will need to prove that he’s still worth rostering.
NY Post | Dan Martin: Rougned Odor has brought serious energy to the Yankees since being traded over from the Rangers. “That’s the way I am.” Odor said. “I don’t like to lose…I bring energy to the team to take us to another level.” In only 11 games, Odor has come through for New York in crunch time several times, and the Yankees hope he can continue to do so and bring the excitement he has brought thus far.
