Today’s the day! It’s been nearly six months since the Yankees walked off the field at Petco Park disappointed. Now, they get a fresh start, with a brand new season representing another opportunity at glory. It promises to be a fascinating campaign from start to finish, and it begins with an excellent matchup between Gerrit Cole and Hyun Jin Ryu.

On the site, we’ll of course have wall-to-wall coverage of the season’s beginning, with Peter and John both providing some preview content for the game with the Blue Jays. Cooper will also analyze what Jonathan Loaisiga’s nice spring could mean for his regular season, and Andrew will provide the monthly Brian Cashman approval poll at the end of the day.

Today’s Matchup:

New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays

Time: 1:05 p.m. EST

TV: YES, ESPN, Sportsnet (MLB.tv)

Radio: WFAN 660/101.9 FM, WADO 1280

Venue: Yankee Stadium
