We have kept you posted on what the Yankees have been up to on social media ever since baseball shut down last March. We are one step closer to the new baseball season as the last few spring training games are in the books. Here’s your weekly update on what your favorite Yankees have been doing on social media!
Aaron Hicks and Masahiro Tanaka talk on Twitter
I miss Tanaka. You miss Tanaka. Aaron Hicks misses Tanaka. The Yankees outfielder reached out to the former Yankees pitcher to see how he’s doing in Japan. Tanaka responded that he’s doing fine, with the exception of his calves. Tanaka will unfortunately miss his first start with the Rakuten Golden Eagles, because of a right calf injury. The 32-year-old is expected to miss three weeks.
I'm fine!except for the calves…

Domingo Germán reflects in Instagram post
Coming off a domestic violence suspension, Domingo Germán has seemingly won a roster spot and worked on improving his relationship with his teammates. He has pitched well this spring, tossing nine innings, with 13 strikeouts and zero runs allowed. This past week he posted on Instagram about getting a clean slate.
Gleyber supporting the Special Olympics
Gleyber Torres has teamed up with the Special Olympics as a Global Ambassador. Torres was challenged by Special Olympic athletes to jump rope in order to support the Special Olympic and inclusive health. With that, he is also encouraging everyone else to join the challenge by posting their own videos of jumping rope.
After a group of our athletes challenged him to 30 seconds of jump roping, @MLB star Global Ambassador @TorresGleyber said - #ChallengeAccepted!
