We’ve arrived at the first away game of the preseason, as the Yankees head up the road to take on the Orioles. We’ve also reached the first game that frustratingly won’t be televised, making this a harder one to keep tabs on.
Nevertheless, even if we can’t exactly watch, Jordan Montgomery will take the hill for his first spring start. Chad Green was originally expected to debut today, but the Yankees decided to take things slow and have him throw live BP. Instead, look for right-handers Luis Garcia and Addison Russ, as well as left-hander Trevor Lane to follow Montgomery. The Orioles will start with their nominal ace, lefty John Means.
As for lineups, the Yankees will throw out a pretty solid starting squad, with their first five hitters all likely to start on Opening Day. They’ll also mix in Mike Ford at DH, Mike Tauchman in center field, and Kyle Higashioka at catcher.
