We may not be able see it roll past, but the Cole Train keeps on rolling.

Today, the Yankees hit the road to take on the Tigers with Gerrit Cole on the bump. Unfortunately, the Tigers’ radio broadcast is the only type of live coverage of today’s game we have.

So far this spring, Cole’s made two appearances. In the first, he allowed a run on three hits in an inning. However, in his last outing, he struck out five in three innings, while allowing one run.

Also of note is that the Yankees are starting Gio Urshela at shortstop. Who knows if this means they’re seriously considering having him back up Gleyber Torres in addition to his third base job or it’s just a test in case of emergency? Either way, it will be interesting to find out what happens with that.

Besides him, it’s a lineup full of players definitely on or at least in consideration for a 25-man roster spot. Also, we get to see if Rob Brantly can keep his spring 3.050 OPS up!

As for Detroit, Michael Fulmer will get the ball for them.

Location: Joker Marchant Stadium - Lakeland, FL

First pitch: 1:05 p.m. EDT

Radio broadcast: WXYT 1270 (Detroit’s radio broadcast)
