Just like that, we’re roughly halfway through spring training already. It feels like things have hardly started yet, but already we’ve got a good impression of who is impressing in camp and who stands a chance of making the Opening Day roster. Before long, we’ll have another round of roster cuts and the image will truly become clear. Until then, we can continue to look ahead for the finishing touches.
At this point, there’s little to speculate on as far as in-house competitions. We all know who is in the running for what spots, and where the races are heading. The larger picture of where the Yankees stand may be more interesting to consider. Is this a make-or-break year for New York? Does it matter that the National League appears to be stacked? If you’ve got questions like this, or anything else on your mind, send it in for a chance to be featured in our weekly mailbag.
Answers will run on Friday morning. All questions received by the night of March 18th will be considered. You can leave your submissions in the comment section below or by e-mail to pinstripealleyblog [at] gmail [dot] com.
