Hello folks, welcome to another weekend. We’re nearly two weeks away from Opening Day, and moves are starting to trickle down the roster. The first round of cuts were announced yesterday, mostly consisting of young prospects that didn’t have much of a chance of making the roster anyway. Still, that playing time will get divvied up to the remaining contenders to make the cut and the competition should narrow considerably by this time next week.

Speaking of making the roster, Tom leads off for us today with the second round of the Making the Team Meter. Jake follows up with the latest season preview — this time centered on pitcher Jonathan Loáisiga — and Josh dives into some of the decision making improvements that Gary Sánchez has displayed so far in spring. Today’s exhibition will be a home game against the Pirates, and Josh will have you covered there as well.
