Yankees training camp is open, games are underway, all is well. There’s a month until the games matter, of course, but I’ll take whatever baseball I can get. When it comes to exhibition games, even though most of it is meaningless, there’s a lot to look for — even if it won’t matter right away. The impressions made here can have an impact down the road for veterans and prospects alike.
The regulars won’t be going the distance for some time, so expect to become familiar with some unfamiliar faces if you follow along with the action. And if you do, be sure to send your thoughts over to us. What veterans stand the best chance of making it out of camp? Which prospects have the most to gain over the next month? If you’ve got questions like that, or anything else on your mind, be sure to send it in for a chance to be featured in our weekly Yankees mailbag.
Answers will run on Friday morning. All questions received by the night of March 4th will be considered. You can leave your submissions in the comment section below or by e-mail to pinstripealleyblog [at] gmail [dot] com.
