Now that the NFL season has ended, another cycle of professional sports has concluded. The NBA and NHL are already underway, and baseball waits to join them. The Yankees are staring down the beginning of training camp at this point, with little over a week to go before baseball activities will begin, and the quest for a 28th championship enters its 12th year.

There’s not much left to speculate on regarding the roster, and we’re a long ways away from knowing how successful the offseason moves will turn out. There are plenty of players awaiting the start of camp, however, who could wind up having a significant impact on the season despite the lack of a spotlight at this moment. Who could wind up being an unheralded x-factor for the Yankees in 2021?
