Pinstripe Alley Podcast Ep. 116: Offseason Roundup

The original Pinstripe Alley podcast returns. We miss Masahiro Tanaka.

MLB: ALDS-Tampa Bay Rays at New York Yankees Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports

Ryan Chichester’s departure from Pinstripe Alley last week for an awesome job at WFAN left us not only down a writer, but down a podcast, too. He and his brother really did a great job covering the Yankees over the past couple years, and we wish them only the best.

To fill the podcast void though, I’m returning to the PSA airwaves and rebooting the original Pinstripe Alley Podcast. Joining me will be one of the co-hosts from when that show last aired: Kunj Shah (the other fellow has moved on to more Minnesotan pastures). It was just before the Yankees faced the A’s in the 2018 AL Wild Card Game, so yeah, some things have changed!

On this episode, Kunj and I talked about the Yankees’ relatively busy offseason, discussing the return of DJ LeMahieu, the additions of Corey Kluber, Jameson Taillon, and Darren O’Day, and our sadness at the departure of Masahiro Tanaka. That guy ruled and we miss him already. We also made fun of Rockies management for the Nolan Arenado deal because, well, why wouldn’t we?

If you were already subscribed to Ryan’s “Bomber Brothers” feed, then you’re good! The podcast feed will remain the same, so no need to re-subscribe in a new spot. You can listen through the web player that pops up at the bottom of every Pinstripe Alley article, or through whichever podcast application you prefer — Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, or the far-too-loud headphones of that peculiar gentleman on the subway.

If you’ve never subscribed to the site’s podcast, please do so! We’re nice folks and we like talking about baseball. Also, make sure you’re subscribing to the right feed — don’t go to the one that hasn’t been updated since 2018.*

*The old Pinstripe Alley Podcasts from 2012-18 won’t migrate over to this feed, but if you have some dark desire to revisit those original episodes and listen to us lose our minds over the madness of the 2013 Yankees with some crappy audio, you can do so here.
