Good morning and welcome to Thursday. We’re getting closer to actual Yankees exhibition games and more than just random reports from spring training workouts. Exhibitions might not be much, but hey, they’re better than nothing. I’m so ready for some baseball that I’m going to watch a clip of Aaron Judge murdering a ball in Tampa back in 2017:
.@TheJudge44 likes to hit baseballs.

He hits them VERY far: https://t.co/UYvfeS3UEi #Crushed pic.twitter.com/vfJ1eudNnT
That’s more like it. Can you believe that was just four years ago yesterday? Time flies.
Anyway, on to business. Peter will review Brian Cashman’s winter, Tom will preview Aroldis Chapman’s 2021 campaign, John will ponder whether MLB could take a page from the NBA’s book and implement Bird Rights for veterans, and Andrés will argue why Giancarlo Stanton shouldn’t be an exclusive DH just yet.
Fun Questions
- Who is more likely to still be a Yankee at the end of 2021: Miguel Andújar or Mike Tauchman?
- If you could time travel to any point in the past 50 years and watch one Yankee bat again in his prime, who would it be?
