Am I satisfied?

I am holding my breath.... These signings could be a master’s touch if health issues turn out well. Cashman has a flair for finding the gem in a pile of sand. Voit and Urshella are examples.

However, this off-season’s moves are a bit scary. With the team’s history of injury issues, can we expect that both Taillon and Kluber will start and stay healthy all year? Can we also expect that Sevy will return and slide into the rotation without a hiccup? Can we hope that German will resume the pace he set a few years ago when he won 18 games?

In my estimation, ALL that has to happen if the Yankees hope to move well into the playoffs, perhaps into the World Series. And that does not even address the offense. Judge has not shown he can play a full season. Stanton has issues. Urshella is recovering from surgery, as is Voit. Hicks has injury issues. Torres had a pretty bad 2020, but it seems an aberration.

To sum it up, too many things have to go right for the team to win a championship. With Tampa playing as well as they are, and Toronto greatly improved, if injuries break badly for the Yanks, they could finish third in their own Division.

If all things go well, Cashman should get an award. And if so, the team is positioned to win a lot of games. We shall see.
