Tuesday’s open thread.

Boston Red Sox v New York Yankees
Never say that Justin Wilson isn’t flexible.

Hello and happy Tuesday. Hope your Presidents’ Day holiday was, uh, presidential? I don’t know, I didn’t have it off, either. Brian Cashman also wasn’t taking it easy, as he brought back 2015 reliever Justin Wilson to join the 2021 bullpen and signed Robinson Chirinos for catching depth. In very related news, Yankees pitchers and catchers report to Tampa tomorrow. We’re almost there.

Today on Pinstripe Alley, John will do the community reaction roundup to the Wilson signing and run a poll about what fans think of the move. Later, Andrés will do a power ranking of all 15 American League teams, Jake will write about where the Wilson move leaves the rest of the Yankees’ roster, and Josh will bid a fond farewell to his fellow Canadian, James Paxton.

Fun Questions

  1. In a world of near-countless open thread questions, one man dares to pose the prompt that will surely tear a website apart: Is Luis Cessa good?
  2. Did you get any snow or ice around your neck of the woods yesterday? (Hope you still have power if you did.)
