Welcome to Wednesday. We’re just a week away from pitchers and catchers reporting to Yankees spring training and spring training finally getting a move on. Until then, allow us to keep you occupied with some blogs!

Andrés will start us off by explaining why trade deadline addition Addison Russ might be a sneaky good addition to the 2021 bullpen, and Joe will follow by exploring the latest PECOTA MLB standing projections (where the Yankees fared well). Later on, Dan will provide an excellent in-depth look at the shortstop talent stacked in the Yankees’ system, starring 20-year-old Oswald Peraza. Barring any breaking news, John will close out the day by exploring what a possible Gleyber Torres extension might look like.

Fun Questions

  1. MLB ranked Giancarlo Stanton as the 97th-best player in baseball. Does that sound too low, too high, or about right?
  2. What kind of jelly do you like on your toast? Or do you prefer just butter or plain?
