The week begins, and the season is still alive.

The 2021 MLB season lives to see another day or two. The Braves jumped out to a 4-0 lead in Game 5 last night with a chance to close out the World Series, but the Astros delayed the onset of winter until at least tomorrow, charging back to secure a 9-5 win. With Game 6, and a potential Game 7, scheduled in Houston, the Astros look very much alive.

As we amble into the winter, we’ll of course have you covered from here until spring training comes again next February. On the site today, Jon breaks down Joey Gallo’s 2021 campaign, Dan reviews Yankees prospects that have fared well in the Arizona Fall League, Ryan puts out this week’s mailbag call, and Erin does the unenviable job of comparing José Altuve’s postseason track record with that of Derek Jeter.

Fun Questions:

1. Will Anthony Volpe some day make an All-Star team as a member of the Yankees?

2. Who’s been the World Series MVP so far?
