I don’t know about you guys, but as the postseason rolls on, I might be a little disappointed that the Yankees aren’t involved. However, I don’t miss the stress that the 2021 Yankees would cause on an everyday basis, and even the single Wild Card Game they played amplified it. It’s become more and more apparent that this team needs serious work; it wasn’t a championship-caliber team. Sorry, Hal.
Today on the site, Josh will consider the Yankees’ trade-offs of losing good defense for offense at shortstop and catcher and Jon will recall the 25th anniversary of the infamous Jeffrey Maier Game. Later on, Dan will do a deep dive on the Yankees prospects heading to the Arizona Fall League, Andrés will discuss the Yankees’ pitching foundation for 2022, and John will make the case for a new hitting coach (but for different reasons than one might think).
Fun Questions:
1. Which was your favorite of the four Division Series matchups from Four-Game Friday?
2. Be honest, did you know who Logan Webb was before last night?
