Pilittere and first-base coach Reggie Willits, who announced he’s leaving to be a volunteer assistant coach with Oklahoma.
The Yankees must now construct a coaching staff that Boone will be able to work with and the players will listen to. If not, the Yankees again will find themselves falling short in the Post Season. Falling short of the expectations heard each year that they are the World Series favorites.
