Clinching weekend is here for both halves of the LCS.

Both the ALCS and the NLCS are at the point where one team can punch their tickets to the Fall Classic, and by the end of the weekend we’ll know the matchup for sure. The Braves had the first crack at it, but failed to hold back the Dodgers in Dodger Stadium and will now have to win a game back in Atlanta to avoid blowing a 3-1 lead in back-to-back years. No pressure. The Astros are next on the docket, hosting the Red Sox with two chances to cement themselves as the odd-year yin to the Giants’ even-year yang.

The Yankees’ offseason, meanwhile, continues to plod along while we wait for things to officially kick off. In the meantime, you can check out some of the content we’ve got lined up for you: Matt has a history lesson on the day Red Ruffing dominated both sides of a World Series game, Josh looks back at the five best starts from a Yankee pitcher this year, Esteban predicts some candidates to be the next top reliever from the farm system, and I answer your latest questions from the mailbag.

Fun Questions:

1. Do you think Luis Gil will be better served as a starter or reliever long-term?

2. The Braves can’t Barves things two years in a row ... right?
