The interesting playoff series returns to balance out the unwatchable one.

After a day of no watchable baseball on television, the NLCS returns tonight. I’m being told that there was another series on yesterday that will also be on today, but that information directly conflicts with my viewing experience so far. Probably safe to just ignore it.

Before the postseason resumes, take some time to check out what we’ve got going on the site today. Erin examines how all of the remaining playoff teams approached the trade deadline, and how for the most part their moves paid out more than the Yankees’ did. Peter continues the postmortem on the season with a look into the five worst moments of the season (there were many candidates), and Jon reflects on the recent clamoring for Hal Steinbrenner to be like his father by looking back into exactly how George’s time at the reins went off the rail. Finally, Erica pieces together the timeline for Gleyber Torres’ rise and fall as the Yankees’ shortstop in the eyes of the front office.

Fun Questions:

1. Will Gleyber Torres get his bat back in shape if he plays primarily second base, or was his improvement a case of short sample size?

2. Do the Dodgers answer back in this NLCS, or will the Braves go up 3-0?
