ESPN: The Yankees made another free agent signing yesterday, inking veteran Darren O’Day to a one-year deal plus an option. The 38-year old is a familiar face to Yankee fans, having spent most of his career with the Baltimore Orioles. While he’s obviously on the older end of the aging curve, and has struggled with injuries over the past couple of seasons, his pinpoint control should lead to a boost of depth in the Yankee bullpen.

NJ.com | Randy Miller: If the Yankees want to make one more big splash this winter, one of their top targets would have to be Brewers’ relief ace Josh Hader. The price would be sky-high, but adding a lefty with Hader’s ability would likely make the Yankees the best relief corps in all of baseball. It may be a long shot, but the Brewers seem to be listening to offers.

Yankees Twitter: Yes, yes, it’s a couple of tweets, but the end of January is a slow news time. The trade of Adam Ottavino helped clear up the 40-man roster glut a little bit, meaning the Yankees could officially announce the signing of DJ LeMahieu and Corey Kluber. One more roster spot needs to be opened for O’Day, so expect one more minor transaction soon.
