The long-awaited second start from Deivi García has arrived.
Since he walked off the mound on Sunday, fans have been eager to see Dealin’ Deivi in action again. García dazzled in his debut, tossing six innings of one-run ball while striking out six against the Mets. The 21-year-old used his signature curveball to great effect, and he impressed everyone with his poise. Tonight the right-hander gets a chance for an encore.
As for the Orioles, Jorge López is scheduled to get the start. The 27-year-old appeared in five games this year between Kansas City and Baltimore, allowing a 7.53 ERA (3.97 FIP) in 14.1 innings of work. The right-hander made his first start of the season against the Blue Jays on Sunday, allowing three runs over 4.2 innings of work. He’s primarily a three-pitch pitcher, using a sinker, four-seam fastball, and curveball.
