Folks, the Yankees are bad right now.
It takes an effort to watch them.
But the best part about baseball is that it’s a long season, even in 2020’s abbreviated format. The Yankees have about a month’s worth of ballgames left, including a long series with the Orioles this weekend. The team can get healthy, get hot, and get up off the mat.
To borrow a phrase from Mariano Duncan, “We play today. We win today. Das it.”
I’m thrilled to introduce the newest member of our writing team today, Erica Block. You might be familiar with some of her work already, but if not, you’re in for a treat. Her PSA debut covers pitcher ejections, the MLB rulebook, and Ben Heller. I think you’re going to enjoy it quite a bit. I know I did.
We also have a weekly mailbag call, a series preview against the O’s, our daily history post, and full coverage of today’s doubleheader. Stay tuned for a big day.
