The Yankees took care of business in Game One of the Wild Card Series, and now they’re in position to advance to the ALDS. The margin for error is still slim, since if they drop one game they’re suddenly in an elimination scenario, but they’ve got a favorable position for tonight’s match.

Masahiro Tanaka will get the ball for New York, looking to add another page to a historically great postseason career. Tanaka is 5-3 with a 1.76 ERA in 46 postseason innings pitched, playing his absolute best on the biggest stage of the season. He’s been no slouch this season either, so the Yankees are entering Game Two with plenty of confidence.

Carlos Carrasco will go for the Indians, trying to extend this series. He’s been really good, pitching to a 2.91 ERA in 68 innings pitched, but the Yankees just beat a far superior pitcher in Shane Bieber. The Bombers will have their work cut out for them, but they have a ticket to the ALDS in sight.
