Wild Card Round - New York Yankees v Cleveland Indians - Game One Photo by Jason Miller/Getty Images

As quickly as it started, it could end. The Yankees seized control of Game One of the Wild Card Series in Cleveland within four pitches, eventually winning handily by a score of 12-3. They can end the series after just two games, and punch a ticket to next week’s ALDS well ahead of time.

Game Two will start at 7:05 EST. Masahiro Tanaka will toe the rubber against Carlos Carrasco as the Yankees try to put away Cleveland and clear this first playoff hurdle.

Fun Questions

  1. Who has the starting pitching edge in this game, the Yankees with Tanaka, or Cleveland with Carlos Carrasco?
  2. How short a leash should Aaron Boone have with Tanaka with a rested bullpen?
