Stay up to date on all the Yankees’ trade rumors here

MLB: Game Two-New York Yankees at Atlanta Braves Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Trade season is...lit? I suppose if your definition of lit is Jarrod Dyson for international pool money. Time is running out, with just three days to go before the trade deadline. In the event activity picks up, we’ll be here for all the news.

Since it can sometimes be hard to keep up with the news, Pinstripe Alley is going to run a series of posts containing all the Yankees rumors over the next three days. It’s important to remember that these are rumors, and you should take them with a grain of salt. Teams frequently posture, selectively releasing information in a way that benefits them.

Rumors of the Day (August 28, 2020)

  • 1:30 PM ET: The Yankees have apparently told teams that Clint Frazier is off limits, per Bob Klapisch. This makes sense, considering the injuries to Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. He also notes that team would prefer to move Miguel Andújar in any major deals.
  • 1:30 PM ET: Jon Heyman says that Cleveland will listen to offers for right-hander Mike Clevinger. The cost, however, appears astronomical. It’s more likely that he gets moved in the offseason.
  • 1:30 PM ET: The Reds aren’t expected to sell, reports Andy Martino. Don’t count on Trevor Bauer pitching for the Yankees. I mean, there are many reasons why it won’t happen, but Cincinnati refusing to fold ranks among the top.
